All things new

Today starts a new day for a young woman I have been connected with since her birth 27 years ago.
She graduates college today.

A journey that began nine years ago in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois takes its curtain call in Steubenville, Ohio.
A town forged in the steel industry many years removed.
This is the university she dreamed of coming.
A 3-4 year tour as a youth minister allowed her to come to Steubenville.
It has been a journey as hilly as this southeastern Ohio country.
Through it all, she has come out stronger, wiser, more compassionate, more determined, more a child of God.
How can someone not be beaming proud?
And through this time in Steubenville, she ran into love of a special person.
From my observations, he is everything and more.
He makes her stronger, wiser, more who she is and can be.
A wise man said about his two granddaughters .. do'n worry they will be all right.
No doubt in his heart, mind and soul.
Today we celebrate a huge chapter closing.
Oh. The things this young lady and her future husband will start in the nextone.
Take your candle and shine it bright on a world that needsyour love and faith.
Never, ever forget it, kiddo
