The words that cut through you like a knife are the ones spoken to you by loved ones.
Hurt them and they respond with the fury of a hurricane.
And with good reason.
They have entrusted in you their unconditional love. If you kick dirt on it or spit on it, they don't take lightly to that.
So as you reread those words of anger and hurt, please take into consideration what you have done to deserve them.
You will understand hurt is a two-edged sword.
