Celebrating a new union

A week from today a daughter becomes a wife and a young man becomes a member of the family.

Pause.
Long pause.
The journey to get here for each has been filled with many ups and a few downs.
What started as a friendship grew into best friends. Then dating. Then boyfriend/girlfriend. Then engaged, which gets us to a week from today, marriage.
A week from today will be a big happy day.
Celebrating a new union.
Wishing a couple a long journey.
One that is much like a marathon.
Each year marks another mile.
Not each mile will be a smooth one.
Going up and down the hills will make them strong. Their love deeper. Their faith even more rock solid
We celebrate a start.
Making their way on the journey leads them to many riches they will discover.
